A Sabbath’s Rest (from blogging)

Torres del PaineBy the time you read this I’ll be en route to one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes and hiking adventures with Conservation Volunteers International Program (a.k.a. “CVIP”). For the remainder of this month I’ll be exchanging a keyboard for a McLeod, which will assist me and a group of volunteers in reconstructing hiking trails in the Patagonia region of southern Chile known as Torres del Paine. I’ll not have access to the Internet so blog posts won’t be forthcoming until early April. The following month of May my wife and I travel to Yosemite for a repeat performance with CVIP, an organization I’m proud to serve. This is a great way to meet people from all over the world who have an interest in giving back to our planet and who love the outdoors.

As well as Torres del Paine and Yosemite, and in partnership with REI Adventures, CVIP (find us on Facebook) travels to Machu Picchu twice per year. We help reduce human impact while working to restore and sustain some of the world’s greatest landscapes and cultural sites so humans can enjoy. Don’t miss this recent engineering effort led by our CEO and her husband (retired structural engineer) as they built a bridge by hand with just a few other helpers.

Until April…..

Chau chau!
